Coconut coir raw material usually comes from the fibers of coconut shells, with an initial moisture content of over 80% -90%, and contains a large amount of soluble salts (such as sodium chloride).If not effectively dehydrated and desalinated, coconut coir is prone to mold and deterioration, and excessive salt content can also affect plant growth.
Traditional air drying or centrifugal dehydration methods are not only inefficient, but also difficult to meet the requirements of large-scale production and environmental protection.
The belt dehydrator has the following advantages in coconut coir dehydration and desalination:
1. Efficient dehydration
The belt dewatering machine continuously squeezes coconut coir material through the tension and pressure of the filter belt to achieve solid-liquid separation;
The unique wedge-shaped pre pressing zone and three sets of roller pressing zones design reduce the moisture content of coconut coir from 80% to 40% -60%, significantly reducing subsequent drying costs.
2. Significant desalination effect
During the dehydration process, multiple water washes or spray systems can effectively remove salt from coconut coir, reducing the electrical conductivity (EC value) to a safe range.
3. Continuous automated operation
The equipment can work continuously for 24 hours, with a large processing capacity (up to several tons to tens of tons per hour), and is easy to operate, reducing manual intervention.
